Hozz is licensed under GPL-3.0 with an App Store distribution exception. Its source is public.
What the source lets you check#
- No account. There is no sign-in service.
- No hosted relay or default destination. You add and confirm every route.
- No analytics, ads or remote crash reports. Logs omit values and secrets.
- Apple destination credentials stay in the device Keychain. The Mac pairing token may sync through iCloud Keychain; see Privacy.
Trust the code, not this page#
Privacy claims describe absences. Inspecting the networking, storage and logging code—and the tests that enforce them—is stronger evidence than using the app.
Where the guarantee ends#
Once data reaches your destination, Hozz cannot control it. A cloud-hosted assistant may upload what it reads through MCP.
